Claudije Chaseling
Claudia Chaseling (1973, Munich, Germany) is a German-Australian artist based in Berlin. Her multidisciplinary practice encompasses painting, installation, murals, and spatial interventions. Educated in Berlin and Australia, she is best known for her concept of “Spatial Painting,” in which abstract, biomorphic forms extend beyond the canvas to transform architectural space.
Chaseling’s work explores themes of environmental change, political conflict, scientific research, and human impact on nature. Through vibrant colour, organic structures, and dynamic compositions, she creates immersive visual environments that merge abstraction with social and ecological reflection.
Her work has been exhibited internationally in Europe, Australia, and the United States, and she has participated in numerous biennials, public art projects, and artist residencies. Claudia Chaseling is recognized as a distinctive voice in contemporary painting, combining visual experimentation with a strong engagement in contemporary global issues.
