The Bosnian Book of the Dead

Nedžad Ibrišimović’s novel The Book of Adem Kahriman, Written by Nedžad Ibrišimović the Bosnian, written in the besieged Sarajevo neighborhood of Dobrinja during the first and most difficult year of the siege, stands as one of the most radical and haunting literary testimonies to Bosnia’s history of violence. Music Through the Exhibition: A Sonic Essay on SubDokumenta Sarajevo '25

The string quartet SA Sinfonietta, taking the exhibition "SubDokumenta Sarajevo '25" as its starting point, conceptualized the concert as a series of musical reflections on eight selected artworks. Through this approach, sound became a medium for interpreting and expanding their meanings. An introductory presentation on the concept of the exhibition was given by Jasmin Duraković, the director of the biennial, who emphasized its multi-layered narrative structure.

Damir Nikšić’s Exhibition 'The Celestial Republic' at the Charma Gallery

Multimedia and international artist Damir Nikšić presents a series of about twenty contemplative drawings (70x50cm, 75x55cm) at the "Charlama" gallery. Created over a one-month period in the autumn of 2023 as part of the project "Bosnian Theology of Liberation," the series is titled "The Celestial Republic" (Nebeska republika). The series is the result of a Neoplatonic reflection on the idea of a republic. It was executed using black and white crayons on toned paper. The drawings serve as illustrations of specific theses and conclusions.
