Damir Nikšić

Damir Nikšić is a Bosnian conceptual artist. He studied at art academies in Sarajevo, Milan, and Bologna, and graduated in 2000 from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo, Department of Painting.

From 2000 to 2004, he pursued postgraduate studies at the University of Arizona, USA, where he earned a Master of Fine Arts degree and a Master’s degree in Art History in 2004.

Nikšić has taught at Northwestern University in Evanston, USA, and was a member of the artistic group Maxumin. In 2003, he exhibited at the Venice Biennale as part of the international selection.

He lives and works in Sarajevo.
