Emir Kapetanović

Emir Kapetanović is a Bosnian visual artist, conservator, and restorer. He is one of the founders of the Visionary Society Sarajevo and the DeArt Zenica Association, and an active member of several art organizations, including CKA Charlama Sarajevo and ULUBiH. His artistic practice encompasses sculpture, painting, and drawing. To date, he has held six solo exhibitions and participated in more than thirty group exhibitions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and abroad.

Since 2007, he has been actively engaged in the conservation and restoration of cultural heritage under the mentorship of the renowned regional conservator Esad Vesković. He has contributed to numerous major restoration projects, including the restoration of the decorative sculpture and wall paintings of Sarajevo City Hall, the reconstruction of the wall paintings of the Ferhadija Mosque in Banja Luka, the Kuršumlija Mosque in Maglaj, and the restoration of the decorative façade elements of the Olympic Museum in Sarajevo.

Since 2016, he has been employed in the Department of Conservation and Restoration at the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo.
