Halil Tikveša
Halil Tikveša (Šurmanci, 1935) is a Bosnian visual artist and printmaker. He graduated from the School of Applied Arts in Sarajevo in 1955, and earned his degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade in 1961, where he completed his postgraduate studies in 1964. Several of his works are part of the permanent collection of the National Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo.
In 1969, he spent one semester at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. From 1976 until his retirement in 2000, he taught printmaking and drawing at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. Between 2001 and 2010, he served as a visiting professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo. Since 2013, he has held the title of Professor Emeritus at the University of Novi Sad.
